Sony Xperia Z Review and T-Mobile Availability ? Is it too Late?

Four months ago, Sony Xperia Z was an interesting phone, but the problem is you could not find the phone in U.S carrier stores. Recently, T-Mobile officially announced that Xperia Z is added to their line up phones, but many people wonder if the decision is too late already, or can still contribute a major impact to U.S citizens. Sony still hopes that the potential phone shoppers would see the essence of Xperia Z?s?design, durability, powerful camera and exceptional features. The Xperia Z?s specs are nothing to worry about Of course, just like the top-shelf competition from Samsung and HTC, the Xperia Z comes with its own unique design and specs.

The Sony Xperia Z features a less rectangular shape that does not renounce its secrets easily. It has a glossy black and all-glass framework. It has a smooth surface that is practically blank. A front-facing camera of 3 megapixel has a tiny notification light. The earpiece can be found above a minute speaker which is the only distractions of Xperia Z. The best about Sony Xperia Z is you can run the phone under the sink to wash it if it becomes greasy from your oily hands.

With its existing line of handsets, Sony has upped its software games. Just like the not so rugged Xperia ZL, the new Xperia Z embraces all the modern Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean capabilities. This includes perfect integration with the large stable services of Google such as Gmail, Google Plus and Google Talk social networking. But, 4.2 is not the recent version of Android, only a handful of phones are currently boasting about this, such as the HTC One Google Play Edition, Samsung Galaxy S4 and LG Nexus 4.

Screen, Performance and Battery Life Features

Sony makes a point to commend the Xperia Z?s 5-inch full HD resolution display of 1,920?1,080 pixels, and with good reason. It?s bright, big and produces bright colors for photos, video, or for reading text and documents. The Sony Xperia Z comes with a powerful 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor along with a backed up 2GB of RAM. This is actually enough horsepower to drive the phone?s Android software. The sad thing is that the battery life of Sony Xperia Z was undesirably brief. During the CNET Labs video drain benchmark, the handset would last only 6 hours.

Camera Features

If you have ever operated a Sony Cyber-shot camera, you will find the camera app of Sony Xperia Z a trusty friend. Similar to the company?s enthusiastic imaging gadgets, the software presents a broad range of scene modes, features, and settings, all obsessed in an interface pulled directly from the compact cameras. With a resolution options and 13-megapixel sensor that starts in VGA and top out at 12 megapixels, the camera of Sony Xperia Z shoots images of excellent quality for a Smartphone.

Sony Xperia Z T-mobile Availability and Conclusions

The Sony Xperia Z is available for pre-order at T-Mobile for only $99.99 down. The payments will be for 24 months with a cost of $20 per month. To state proudly, the Sony Xperia Z is said to be the best mobile handset ever built among the models created in the company. Unfortunately, the cutthroat of today?s mobile world is populated with these three mighty titans acting as phone supremacy in T-mobile, Samsung and HTC. Sad to say, the Sony Xperia Z short battery life and the pokey imaging system can?t compete with HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4, which are both sold by T-Mobile for similar upfront price. Not unless you absolutely need a dust and water resistant Smartphone.
